Research Council’s Arctic and Northern Areas Conference 2010

This year's Arctic and Northern Areas Conference is being held in Tromsø on 10-11 November and will be followed by an open roundtable seminar on 12 November.
One of the main topics at the conference will be the presentation of the results of the review of national research on the northern areas, which is being carried out in the spring and autumn of 2010.
The roundtable seminar on 12 November will mark the beginning of the revision of the Research Council’s Research Strategy for the Arctic and Northern Areas (forskning.nord) under the Focus on the Arctic and Northern Areas Initiative. According to current plans, a new version should be available in summer 2011, five years after the original strategy was adopted.
Conference programme and registration
The draft programme (in Norwegian only) can be found on the webpages for the Focus on the Arctic and Northern Areas initiative (NORD). Registration for the conference will begin in August/September.
